What I have learned about Anaheim Hotels

When Walt Disney conceptualized his adventure idea, he stated his partner and friend that when visitors would come to Disneyland, they would not think of hotel but would look for a place to stay where they can spend the nights when the park is closed.  It is true to every word, indeed.  Many of us do not even think of Disneyland hotels when we plan to visit the place as most of the time the fun and adventure of the theme park occupies our mind.  On the contrary, I think this can ruin our precious time and money which was happened to me. 

With all due respect to the mastermind Mr Disney, I do not want to contradict him by any means but I want to tell that folks, get real. We do need a decent place to stay there.  Especially when you are with ladies or kids, you just cannot choose to stay in any of the Anaheim hotels. So, do not make the mistake what I did. I and couple of friends decided to go Disneyland for summer vacations and for accommodation we did not think a bit. We arrived on the due date and had to wait for pre-paid taxi while we waved others goodbye and watched them going in their hotels’ cabs.  When our taxi driver told us that this is a peak season and getting rooms in any hotel could be a difficult task, we had to repent.

Though, we did get the reservations but in the outskirts of the city. The tariff rates of hotel were relatively high and due to the peak season we had to share the rooms and dormitory. The services and hygiene level was good but it was really pain to commute for more than half an hour to reach our destination while our co-passengers whom we met in the plane, were staying in Disneyland hotels nearby the theme park. When we enquired about the tariff rates, we went really weak at the knees. They were paying almost half the prices!

So, I recommend that whatever mistakes I have made while selecting Anaheim hotels, avoid them. Always book early to make sure that you do not have to settle for anything less than you pay for. Moreover, choose hotels which are nearby Disneyland to avoid the hassles of commuting.
